Irish squad at homecoming last Sunday

 

Congratulations to Denmark on winning their first ever gold medal at the European Junior Championships in Lviv, Ukraine last Saturday.

Mahdai Hassan-Jallaw claimed 54kg gold for the Danes.

Ireland’s Jason Harty finished on top of the 66kg podium at the 27-nation tournament.

Harty (gold), Jim O’Reilly (silver), Anthony Johnston (bronze) and Lorcan Hurley (bronze) finished in podium positions in Lviv.

Hurley also scooped the Best technical Boxer Award, while Philip Rooney took home the Best R&J Award.
